 Start spreadin' the news ...

You're leaving today! Congrats. You've made the decision to, as Frank Sinatra would say, "be a part of it." New York. Ah, the city that never sleeps. Hopefully, at this point you have decided what Broadway production you will be going to see. And, as much as the show is THE site to see, there is still quite a bit to do in the Big Apple. Read below about some friendly suggestions for bars, restaurants, and other fun activities to check out throughout your day before showtime!

 Bars and Restaurants:

As my mom always says, there's no better way to kill some time than with a drink and quick bite to eat. Check out these trendy bars and restaurants located in, or around, New York City's Theatre District.

230 Fifth Rooftop Bar NYC:

230 Fifth Rooftop Bar is located, well, exactly at 230 Fifth Ave. It is the perfect location for either a quick daytime drink prior to a matinee show, or an evening, as you can see in the pictures below. It is a bit further from the Theater District than other reccomendations, about a 15 minute Uber or cab ride, but we promise it is worth every moment. Drinks range around $15-20, but, who can complain with that view?

Bar Nine Hell's Kitchen:

Bar Nine is located in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, directly in the Theater District. A cozier location than 230 Fifth, this is a great spot to grab a casual drink with friends when you have a bit less time. An optimal location, affordable drinks, and good eats, Bar Nine is always a safe option prior to any show.

 Activities and Sight Seeing:

If you find yourself in New York with more time to just grab a casual drink, here are a few New York City staples that are bound to pass the time.

Central Park:

Central Park is easily one of New York's most visited and infamous landmarks. Located a few blocks West of the Theater District, Central Park is the place to be if the weather is nice. Explore the different sights such as the stage or fountain, or simply sit and enjoy the Sun. Either way, this is a must see for your day.
